
I sell this camera for the reason mentioned above as a collector's item with a special story. This also applies also for the rangefinder. For this one the serial number is very close to the range which are mentioned in the book of Robert Rotoloni. It is a known fact that Nikon at that time was not paying 100% attention to serial numbers. In case this would be a black repaint then it would not make sense to keep this in chrome. This happened more and was done on special request. Also the fact that the camera has chrome items on top of the camera with EP make it seem that this was a special black edition with EP signs.

There are items on this camera which would be evidence for being produced as an original Black paint version.

The big question is: is this a black paint or is this a re paint? The camera has been investigated by an expert/collector with huge knowledge on the Nikon S rangefinder cameras.
